June 2017 Outgoing Snail Mail

     Hey everyone, how’s it going? Hope you’re all doing well. I’m back today with another snail mail post and this week, it is time to take a look at my outgoing mail from the month of June.

     Now, I don’t have too much outgoing mail because I sent a few pieces out at the start of the month and then let things slide a bit. Then, as the month neared a close I held back from sending things out because I knew I’d be sending a lot of things out this month. Nevertheless, I do have a few nice things to show you from last month so here it goes!

     First up, a lot of notecards.

     My parents went to Edinburgh at the end of April and they brought me back this lovely set of notecards that they bought in one of the museum shops. I love the paintings on them and also, the envelopes for the notecards aren’t white – they’re a slight grey tone. I love that they’re not white! You know, sometimes, you just get a little bored of white envelopes!

I’m loving sending these out and I can think of a few pen pals who’ll appreciate how pretty these notecards are.

     Keeping up with the notecard theme, I made more use of the gorgeous map cards I bought a while back:

     Now, when it came to decorating these envelopes, I did something I don’t do to often – I kept them simple! I only used a single strip of washi tape on them which nicely matched the standard postal stamps for international letters!

I think the gold looks lovely against the cream and grey envelopes.

     Okay, next up, I have some colouring book envelopes. These went off to Canada and Australia. These are envelopes I’ve already shown on my blog before in one of my many posts on making envelopes from colouring book pages:

     And finally, I have this envelope that I sent off to New Zealand. This is one of the envelopes that I made/decorated using an issue of World Heritage magazine. It’s simply an image cut out from the magazine and paired with some purple washi tape as that’s what I had that looked alright with it!

     Which is your favourite piece of mail? I have to say, my simple decorating of the envelopes is mine. Sometimes simple is best!
