October Moleskine Pages

Hey everyone, how’s it going? Hope you’re all doing well.

It’s time to show my October Moleskine planner pages! Wait, there’s purple again. You did purple for September, you sure you’re not just getting confused and showing September again? Yes, I’m sure, voices in my head. I know I used purple in my September pages but then I bought a sticker kit for October that was in purple and I realised purple makes sense for October because it suits the Halloween theme so, you know what, I just decided to use purple again!

Okay, I am rambling a bit. Here’s my front page for my October spreads – I’m actually really happy with how this page came out. The blending in the lettering worked well and there were purple butterfly stickers that I had gotten from a pen pal that matched perfectly and I even had space to fill with a random quote from the internet, what more could you ask for!

Now, onto the monthly spread. So, for September, I had bought a mini HP monthly sticker kit and that worked great. I decided that for October I would try get the full size, just in case that worked better. In many ways, the full size was nice but there was one somewhat crucial flaw with the sizing – the weekly header was too long for my pages! I realised this when I went to stick it down and some emergency cutting had to be done. The pages only fit six days so I needed to lose a day. I bit of chopping and changing and I was able to fit Saturday and Sunday into one box. It’s not ideal for me because I like having full boxes for each day but it meant I could continue with my stickers. In future though if I get more stickers for this planner, I’ll just go back to getting the mini HP kit.

Other than that mishap, things went well with the kit. Purple and grey are some of my favourite colours and I think the bit of pink goes well with it.

Onto my money matters pages, things are quite similar to how they always are, though I have given more space for tracking my spending because it turns out that I spend a lot of money. Instead of drawing a grid with a black or grey pen, I did use a pale lilac brush pen to mark out the spaces and I kept that going for the other lists on the next page. I accidentally tore the bit of the header sticker that I cut off to make it fit on the previous but I didn’t want to waste it so I just made it work!

I used more stickers on my lists pages than I did on my money pages but it doesn’t look like that for some reason! I guess it’s because I was using the small decorative stickers. Some of the things here are new to my planner pages, like the section for next month things. I figured that would be a handy addition because otherwise there’s certain things that I forget just because I can’t fill them in to my spread as it’s not made yet. I also decided to make a shopping list – because it’s a busy shopping time for (I start doing my Christmas shopping quite early!).

So those are my planner pages for October. What do you think of them? I definitely like the size of the full size boxes and decorative stickers but the header sticker size does ruin it a bit. Finding the perfect stickers is tricky!
