Snail Mail

July 2019 – Incoming Snail Mail

Hello everyone, how are you? Hope you’re doing well.

It’s the first Wednesday of the month so that typically means it’s time for an incoming mail post. I don’t believe I had one last month because I didn’t have any incoming mail but thankfully I’ve actually been posting letters again so hopefully my pen pals will actually have letters to reply to now. But as for my incoming mail this month – well, it’s very heavily Japan based because two thirds of my incoming mail came from my friend in Japan sending my craft full packages!

Se always sends me washi tapes, crafts kits and papers but I happened to mention to her that I wanted to try some Japanese Kit Kat flavours so she sent me a bunch of mini Kit Kats:

I enjoyed the different Kit Kats – there was a strawberry one that was nice and a raspberry one too. I admit I wasn’t too keen on the tea and sake flavours but it was interesting to try them.

But moving on, I also got a lovely letter from my French pen pal (featuring some appropriate sun themed tea and envelope decor). The stamp came off when it arrived at my house so thankfully that stayed on long enough for it to arrive!

And finally, package number two from Japan that arrive just at the end of the month:

I didn’t have time to lay things out nicely and get aesthetically pleasing photos so this photo of everything still in the box is all I have of package number two.

And finally stamps! Lots of lovely Japanese stamps!

So short post, hopefully you enjoyed getting a glimpse at some of my incoming mail – have you gotten anything interesting in my mail lately?

  1. Wow, what nice mail! I hated the green tea KitKat. My kids thought it was hilarious. I love the washi tape too. It has been a long time since I’ve gotten a package from a friend. I’m slightly jealous 🙂 I understand what you’re saying about needing to catch up on your mail so your incoming mail starts happening again. I went a little crazy on Postcrossing and sent out all of the available cards I could. When I got back from vacation, I had a ton waiting for me. I will add them to my blog later today if you want to see.

    1. Haha, yeah, not a fan of the green tea flavour either!
Been a while since I’ve used Postcrossing but I remember doing that a lot too, just sending out as many postcards as I could at a time! Do add them to your blog, would love to see what postcards you got from where! Kinda want to go back an do that again, regularly use postcrossing – fell out of the habit of sending postcards just because when I started a stamp only cost €1 to send international but now days it’s €1.85.
