A Spot of Random Card Making

     Hello everyone, hope you’re well.

It’s time for that quarterly card making post I do to prove that I still do actually use all those paper crafting supplies I have!

First up, there’s a card that I made for my neighbour who requested something for a 60th birthday for a friend. As is my card making style, I made it haphazardly by going in with no plan and rummaging through supplies until I had picked out a few things that went together.

And this is what is ended up as:

I ended up making a gate fold card with a pouch on the inside for an IOU card decorated with lots of floral origami paper.

The second card made was to give to my neighbour for his communion. I don’t do religious cards (what sentiment do you even use for a communion card?) but the kid likes reading so it was a good opportunity to use the bookshelf themed set of stamps, dies and embossing folder that I got free with a magazine a while back.

I inked up the embossing folder to colour the background then stamped and die cut a few extra pieces to fill in the bookshelf. My colouring is god awful but meh.

So yeah, two cards made last month – proof I still do paper crafts!
