Knit and Crochet Hats (leftover advent yarn hats)

     Hello everyone, how are you?

If you recall my advent yarn blanket that I finished last month, I mentioned having yarn left over from each mini skein. When added together, it ended up being quite a bit of yarn – around 150g I think! What I did was join all the yarn together to create one big ball of yarn and then…spend a lot of time thinking what I was going to do with it.

I decided on hats because easy.

Each of these used about 65-70g of yarn so it was a great way to use up the yarn. The knitted one was just a 2×1 rib tube knitted on 2.5mm needles that I sewed together at one end and stuck a pom pom on while the crochet one is a pattern I made using half trebles and crocheting in the back loop only. It’s a very basic pattern that I’ll try write up at some point..

Again, the great thing about natural dyed yarns is you really can just used any yarn combo and it looks good, as I think these hats show.
