Favourite Things: January and February, 2021

     Hello everyone, how are you?

I actually had a hard time coming up with this post today because I haven’t really been keeping favourite things in mind these last two months. I have managed to come up with some favourite things though like…

Buying books online, buying more books and other stuff online…

…buying puzzles online and buying games online because I’ve barely left my house in a year and apparently I just need to keep spending money to make myself feel better…god I miss browsing actual, physical shops and being able to pick things up to look at them! Lockdown in Ireland just keeps getting extended so it’s going to be a real long time before I get to do any of that. But yeah, jigsaw puzzles are great – had a lot of fun making the Critical Role one. Actually, liked the artwork so much that I bought a frame (online) so I could fame the puzzle – hoping to maybe put it up in my craft room for some nice colourful wall art. I want to do another jigsaw puzzle but I can’t seem to find any where I like the picture enough.

In other favourite things news, at the end of January I finally got my PS5!

Yeah, would be hard for that not to be a favourite thing of mine – I’ve been looking forward to this since I pre-ordered it in September. Of course I’ve been spending a lot of time playing it. My current play is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. I love the AC games and am having a great time being a viking and going on raids in England while exploring the countryside and petting cats and dogs and taking photos of the cats and dogs in the game and the sunsets…did I mention how I’ve barely left my house in the last year?

Okay, yeah, also been really enjoying painting miniatures!

I’m not going to ramble on too much about this new hobby of mine though because I think I’m going to write a blog post or two about this soon so I’ll be rambling in those enough! I’ve been having a great time painting these tiny game miniatures even though I have no games to use them in. It’s a lot of fun – have you ever tried painting minis?

What have you been enjoying lately? It can be anything, just what’s been making you happy this month?
