Hello lovely people, how’s it going? Hope you’re doing well.
It’s the end of the month and I don’t have a huge amount of finished projects to show off (I have a few I’ll get to next month once I’ve photographed them) so I thought it would be good instead to take a look at the yarn WIPs I have on my hooks and needles.
So first up, the project I actually started this month, a crochet shawl using one of the Hobbii Cotton Kings cake yarns I got for Christmas.

It’s not looking like much at the moment as I’ve not reached any of the colour changes in the yarn yet and I’m also not very far into this shawl as I’ve not worked on it in about two weeks but I’ll pick it back up eventually. Also, I’m not using any pattern for this shawl. I just wanted to make a circular shawl rather than a triangular one and I’m making it up as I go along.
That’s the only WIP I have in my stash that I’ve actually worked on this month though. I do have this Tunisian blanket on a hook waiting to be finished but I’ve not worked on it since I last showed it off sometime in September last year.

I also still have the Rozetta CAL blanket still waiting to be finished but honestly, I’ve not worked on this project since 2020 I think! I would love to get it finished this year but no promises. It just started taking quite a while to crochet each round and was slow going because of constantly changing between the two colours.

And those are my current crochet WIPs – two blankets and a shawl.
Oh, wait, there’s one more WIP that I have and I did actually work on it this month! I’m still working on knitting the sock tube using my leftover advent yarn. I don’t have an up to date photo of it so here’s an old one instead but it’s actually about twice the length now. I’m just knitting a tube until I run out of advent yarn and the plan is then to use one of the minis in my stash for the heels, toes and cuffs. I don’t actually know yet how to knit afterthought heels but I’ll figure it out when the time comes.
Now, those are my WIPs!
So what are you working on? Do you have a big stash of yarn WIPs you need to work on or are you more of a single project person?
