Hand Painted Birthday Cards

     Hello lovely readers – just have a quick post for you today to show off some cards I made recently for all the birthdays that happen in October.

     I left it a bit last minute to make a birthday card for my dad and for all the friends birthdays I have in October so I came up with this simple stack of presents/suitcase design that I could make a few of pretty quickly. The suitcase idea made sense for my dad as we got him a travel bag for a holiday he’s going on soon and I opted for the autumnal colours for the season (and because I liked them).

     And yeah, that’s it. Painted a few simple boxes, let those dry and then doodled a little on top. I think it came out quite well! What do you think? Should I make more of this theme card but in different colours?
